Rosie completed a foundation year at Wimbledon School of Art in 1971 but thereafter her career took different paths.
These paths included working as a teacher of History and Archaeology and then as an author, lecturer and advisor in heritage education. She has worked for English Heritage and the Historic Royal Palaces; also for museums and schools on a consultancy basis.
Now she has returned to practising art and finds that many aspects of her previous career inform her practice.
In July 2016 she took part in a group exhibition Peep at the Espacio Gallery, London, E2 and is currently working towards a group, Thames-related exhibition – date and venue tbc.
The Thames is a focus for much of her work. A keen foreshore walker Rosie is a member of Thames Discovery and the Docklands History Group.
Rosie has lived in Hackney for over 40 years and works from home.
